Terms & Conditions
Please read these conditions carefully. They set out the basis of your agreement with Nateby Inn Ltd. In making a booking you are confirming that you are 18 years of age and have the authority, to accept and accept on behalf of your party the terms and conditions set out below.
A binding contract comes into existence between you and Nateby Inn Ltd once we have issued confirmation of your booking acceptance by e-mail, fax or post.
1. TO MAKE A BOOKING

2. CONFIRMING YOUR BOOKING
A non refunderble deposit of £25.00 per room per night is required to confirm your booking. Please note your room is not confirmed until you have received either an email or written confirmation from Nateby Inn and we reserve the right to refuse any booking before we have issued the written confirmation form. Your booking is made as a consumer and you agree neither the company nor owner will accept liability for expenses, costs, losses, claims or other sums that relate to any business however so suffered or incurred by you. You must be over 18 years of age at the time of making your booking. As soon as you receive the holiday confirmation form, you must check it carefully. Any errors must be reported to us immediately.
All published rates include VAT where applicable at the current rate.
Rates are per room per night. If you have selected supplements they will be added to the total price of the Booking.
Rates do not include other costs you may choose to incur during your stay (unless otherwise stated).
Rates quoted are correct only for the specific number of guests, nights and dates shown. Should You change the number of guests, dates or room nights, then the rates are subject to change.
Within 14 days:
Cancellations made within 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to 100% of the stay will be made.
More than 14 days:
Cancellations made more than 14 days before arrival then a charge of £25.00 non refunderble deposit per room per night.
Cancellation by you:
Telephone us immediately if you have to cancel and on the same day send us written confirmation by post, email or fax. Your cancellation is affective from the date we receive your written confirmation which will be acknowledged.
Dogs are welcome at Nateby Inn, Kirkby Stephen
Whilst we welcome dogs to the Nateby Inn, for the comfort of other guests, please ensure that:
Dogs are allowed in the bar / lounge
Dogs left unattended in bedrooms (e.g. during breakfast if take in the restaurant) do not bark, if you wish, your dog may join you for breakfast or an evening meal in the bar / lounge.
Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant
Dogs are allowed only on the clear understanding that under no circumstances may they lie on beds, bedding or furniture.
Please use the dog blankets and dog towels provided.
Dogs do not foul the Inn grounds or the surrounding area
All dogs are kept under strict control in the public areas and kept on a lead
Dogs are not allowed in the dining / restaurant
No more than one dog per bedroom
Our policy is to welcome dogs, we make a surcharge of £6.00 per night. Registered assistance dogs are accepted free of charge, however if there is any damage caused or excessive housekeeping required, then a charge will be levied as follows:
Extra Housekeeping £10 per hour
Damage to furnishings, fixtures & fittings, etc. As per cost
The charge will be made to your credit card if the damage/mess is discovered after your departure.
6. BROCHURE DETAILS
Nateby Inn always try to maintain the very best facilities and services to our Inn and changes may have occurred since brochure production. However the information may have changed by the time you book so you must ensure you check all details including prices when you book.
7. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
Your room is available from 4.00pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on day of departure.
In some instances we may be able to bring forward the entry time (Surcharge of £10.00 per hour) or extend the departure time (Surcharge of £10.00 per hour),
8. CAR PARKING
Nateby Inn has a small car park available for guests directly by the Inn.
9. ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION
In the unlikely event that we are unable to arrange the room requested, or if we have to move you from a room you already occupy, we will endeavour to offer alternative accommodation. If the alternative accommodation is not acceptable to the holidaymaker, Nateby Inn will either refund all monies paid or a pro rata amount depending on the length of stay prior to departure.
10. CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING BY NATEBY INN
We do not expect to make any changes to your booking but occasionally changes do occur during and after bookings have been confirmed and occasionally confirmed bookings have to be cancelled.
Nateby Inn will refund the relevant portion of the payment. In no event shall the liability exceed the payment received for the room if the cancellation occurs due to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control the consequences of which we could not have avoided even with all due care.
We reserve the right to alter or withdraw amenities or facilities without prior notice where reasonably necessary due to repairs, maintenance, weather conditions and circumstances beyond our control.
You are responsible to Nateby Inn Ltd for the actual costs of any breakage or damage along with additional costs that may occur caused by you or any member of your party.
You are expected to show due consideration for other people, not to abuse the property or display rude, dangerous or offensive behaviour towards the owners or staff or other third party. You can be asked to leave before the end of the stay. If this happens we will treat your stay as having been cancelled by you and you will not be entitled to a refund of your room cost or compensation.
It is your responsibility to check the room property meets your needs and we cannot be responsible for ensuring the room is entirely suitable for your needs. We cannot accept any bookings that are specified to be conditional upon fulfilment of a particular request.
It is your responsibility to notify us of any information regarding a medical problem or disability that may affect your stay at the time of booking. Disabled, infirm and restricted mobility guests: the layout/features of the bedrooms make it unsuitable for visitors with mobility difficulties.
The owners and Nateby Inn Ltd shall have no liability for any death or personal injury, loss or accident sustained by any visitor to the Inn however caused. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property. No liability is accepted by the owners or Nateby Inn Ltd in respect of damage to, or loss of, such personal property.
Your vehicle, their accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. Neither the Owner nor Nateby Inn Ltd are responsible for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle
No responsibility can be accepted by the owners and Nateby Inn Ltd for any belongings or valuables left on the premises including a car and its contents however caused.
12. DATA PROTECTION
For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, Nateby Inn Ltd and Cotterdale Cottage Holidays Ltd are the sole data controller of all personal data provided to us from customers and prospective customers.
The companies will collect certain personal details from you including your name and address and credit/debit card details.
The companies would like to store and use your personal details for future marketing purposes. This would cover sending brochures or details of promotions to you. Nateby Inn Ltd or Cotterdale Cottage Holidays Ltd may make contact with you by E-mail, post for the purposes set out in this clause for a period of 6 years after the end date of the holiday. If you do not wish to receive any or all of the communications set out in this clause, please let us know by telephone or letter, e-mail. The companies are entitled to assume that you do not object to being communicated with unless it receives notice.
Except where expressly permitted by the Data Protection Act 1998, the Nateby Inn Ltd will only deal with the personal details you give as set out above. The company has appropriate security measures in place to protect this information.
13. FORCE MAJEURE
Compensation payments will not apply where we cannot fulfil our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control. This would mean any event the owners and Nateby Inn Ltd cannot foresee with all due care, e.g. riots, war or threat of war, terrorist activity, civil strife, natural or nuclear disaster, industrial dispute, adverse weather conditions, fire epidemic or health risk and similar factors beyond our control.
14. FREE WIFI WIRELESS BROADBAND INTERNET ACCESS
Nateby Inn benefit from WIRELESS BROADBAND INTERNET ACCESS. To use this complimentary service, you will need to bring your own wireless enabled laptop PC, with either a Centrino mobile processor or plug in USB or PCMCIA wireless networking adaptor. We will provide you with the necessary access password. Please note that as this service is complimentary, we are unable to provide any technical support although connection should be quite simple if you are using Windows XP or Vista with the relevant wireless networking hardware.
